Co-Specs: Recipes & Histories of Classic Cocktails
Drinks industry veteran Cas Oh’s CO-Specs is an A-Z of recipes and histories behind the great classics cocktails of the world. With the ambition to become the go-to reference for bartenders, the book is the culmination of years of investigative research into the provenance of world-renowned cocktails.
The challenge was to exude authority, but also be visually beautiful in order to appeal to industry professionals, but also be coffee-table worthy to cocktail fans. The result was a beautifully typeset 480-page book inspired by art deco and the historical typesetting of 15th century publisher Aldus Manutius. Printed in full-colour plus metallic gold spot colours, the book won an array of awards noting the design craftsmanship.
